The G87 M2 is not an F87 refresh — it is an entirely new car on the CLAR platform. The engine moved from the S55 (a detuned M4 unit) to the full S58 from the M3/M4, making the G87 arguably more powerful relative to its weight than any previous M2. The switch to 5×112 bolt pattern (from 5×120) aligns the G87 with the G80 and G82, meaning all three share wheel fitment compatibility.
Most importantly for seats: the G87 uses the same front seat rail geometry as the G80 M3 and G82 M4.
